Su-Shasan Tihar aims to ensure government schemes reach last person in society: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, May 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the objective of the Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival) is to take governance to every village, resolve public grievances on the spot, and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last eligible beneficiary.

Addressing a resolution camp held at Karhi Bazar in Baloda Bazar district, CM Sai expressed gratitude to the large number of villagers who attended the programme despite intense summer heat. He said the government is reaching villages to directly assess whether people are receiving basic facilities such as water, electricity, roads and other essential services in a timely manner.

The Chief Minister said that it is not possible to fully understand rural issues by sitting in Raipur, and therefore the entire government is interacting directly with citizens at the grassroots level through village visits and camps. He added that several such camps have already been conducted across the state and more will continue in the coming days.

CM Sai highlighted that the state government has fulfilled several key commitments under the “guarantees” announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said paddy procurement is being done at ₹3,100 per quintal along with the payment of pending bonus for two years.

He further stated that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than ₹17,000 crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of nearly 70 lakh women in the state. This has helped women become self-reliant by supporting their children’s education, household needs and small businesses.

Referring to the “Lakhpati Didi” initiative, the Chief Minister said that women are being empowered through self-employment and entrepreneurship programmes, and many are moving towards becoming financially independent and even aspiring to become “crorepati didis” in the future.

He also informed that the government is expanding rural infrastructure and services. More than 6,000 Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been set up in panchayats, enabling villagers to access certificates, revenue records, banking services and other facilities locally. He added that immediate name transfer services are now being provided along with property registration, reducing public inconvenience.

The Chief Minister announced that the government will soon launch a Chief Minister Helpline, through which citizens will be able to register complaints online or via toll-free numbers, ensuring time-bound resolution.

During the programme, CM Sai distributed benefits under various schemes and extended congratulations to youth who received appointment letters and women engaged in self-employment initiatives. He reaffirmed that the state government remains committed to public welfare and development.

The event was attended by Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Chief Secretary Subodh Singh, Public Relations Commissioner Rajat Bansal, district officials, police officers, and a large number of citizens.
