DCM Ajit Pawar Inaugurates Musical Fountain, Artificial Waterfall, and Boating Club at Pazar Lake, Kagal
Kolhapur : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated a series of new attractions at Pazar Lake in Kagal, including an artificial waterfall, boating club, musical fountain, and voice fountain. Describing the project as innovative, he expressed his belief that such activities would be developed in other locations, including Baramati, and would attract more tourists to this picturesque area.
The inauguration also included the opening of a new footpath, a mutton, chicken, fish, and vegetable market constructed by the Kagal Municipal Council. The event was attended by Guardian Minister Hasan Mushrif, MLA Rajesh Patil, Collector Amol Yedge, Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit, Radhanagari-Kagal Sub-Divisional Officer Prasad Chaugule, Tehsildar Amardeep Wakade, Municipal Administration Officer Nagendra Mutkekar, Chief Officer and Administrator Ajay Patankar, along with various dignitaries and citizens.
The beautification of the Pazar Lake area was carried out with a fund of Rs. 13.5 crores, creating a pleasant environment designed to attract tourists. The lake area, now featuring lawns for small events, boating facilities, musical fountains, and artificial waterfalls, will be open to visitors from 10 am to 9 pm.
Additionally, the new Mahatma Phule Market, built with a fund of Rs. 15 crores, houses 93 well-equipped stalls for selling mutton, chicken, fish, and vegetables. The market is air-conditioned and includes parking and fire-fighting arrangements.
