Emerging District Status for Parbhani; Zone-1 and D+ Category Approved
Success of the efforts of Guardian Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar
A big New Year gift for the people of Parbhani
Mumbai : On the eve of the New Year, a very important decision has been taken for Parbhani district. Under the Maharashtra Industrial Investment and Services Policy 2025, Parbhani district has been included as an “Emerging District.” This decision has been made possible due to the sustained efforts of Parbhani district’s Guardian Minister, Meghna Sakore-Bordikar.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has always endeavoured to ensure that per capita income increases in every district of the state. Rajya Mantri Mrs Bordikar has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for making special efforts to ensure that Parbhani district is included in this broader objective.
Under the new policy, Parbhani district has been included in Zone-1.
Under the revised policy, Zone-1 includes districts with per capita income below the national average. With its inclusion in Zone-1, investors in Parbhani will receive special incentive concessions.
At the same time, Parbhani district has been retained in the D+ category, a zone in which the highest industrial incentive benefits in the state are provided. This decision is expected to give a major boost to new industries, investments, employment generation, and local economic development.
Considering the industrial backwardness of Parbhani district, Minister of State Meghna Sakore-Bordikar had demanded a special zone status for Parbhani from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This demand has now been approved and incorporated into the state’s industrial policy.
As a result of this decision, investors starting industries in Parbhani district will receive maximum subsidies, tax concessions, capital assistance, and other incentives. The district is now set to become a highly attractive destination for investment within the state.
Citizens, entrepreneurs, youth, and the farming community in Parbhani have welcomed this decision, expressing the sentiment that it is a valuable New Year gift for the all-round development of the district.
