Cultural Resurgence Taking Place in State under Leadership of PM Shri Modi: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, an atmosphere of cultural resurgence has been created across the country since 2014. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has resolved to construct grand ‘Gita Bhavans’ equipped with modern facilities to accelerate development while preserving the nation’s rich heritage. The first ‘Gita Bhavan’ of the state has already been inaugurated in Indore, and in the same sequence, Jabalpur has now been gifted with Gita Bhavan.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi ushered in several significant reforms through the National Education Policy 2020. It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh was the first state in the country to implement it. He stated that references from sacred texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and the Ramayana have also been incorporated into school curricula. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the inauguration of the Gita Bhavan in Jabalpur, along with the inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan ceremony of various development projects worth more than ₹50 crore on Friday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the sacred land of Sage Jabali, Jabalpur, is today being bestowed with a unique distinction through the hosting of an international Ramayana event associated with Lord Shri Ram, along with the inauguration of the Gita Bhavan dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna and the holy Bhagavad Gita. He stated that Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna performed divine deeds in all four directions of India through their valour.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes and presented copies of the Bhagavad Gita to five students. The development works inaugurated included renovation projects at Rani Durgavati University and road development works.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further said that every human life in the mortal world is destined, and through the teachings of the Gita, Lord Shri Krishna resolved the complexities of relationships while explaining the principle of Karmayoga to Arjuna. He said, “The greatness of the Gita is such that it dispels the darkness of the human mind and teaches how to serve the world even while enduring personal hardships.” The Chief Minister also highlighted the important role played by Yashoda Maiya and Nand Baba in nurturing Lord Shri Krishna during his early life.

Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, along with public representatives, sants,and local citizens, were present on the occasion.

State-of-the-Art Facilities to Be Available at Gita Bhavan

he Gita Bhavan, developed by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, is equipped with modern and state-of-the-art facilities. The building houses a fully equipped reading hall and an e-library. The Gita Bhavan provides access to more than 5,000 religious, historical, literary and social books, along with study materials for competitive examinations. A modern, fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 900, a dedicated deliberation hall, and other essential contemporary facilities have been developed, making the Gita Bhavan an important centre for study, research, dialogue, and intellectual discourse.
