Police Housing Projects Bring Positive Change in Officers’ Lives – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Satara, Jan 2026 : High-quality residential housing projects for police officers and their families are being developed in every district across the state, offering a wide range of modern amenities. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that these well-designed residences will bring positive changes in the lives of police personnel and their families, and assured that such projects will continue uninterrupted.

The inauguration of the new Vrindavan Police Township and Shahupuri Police Station buildings in Satara was performed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Also present were Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Public Works Minister Shivendra Singh Bhosale, Minister of Rural Development Jaykumar Gore, MLAs Shashikant Shinde, Mahesh Shinde, Atul Bhosale, Manoj Ghorpade, Director General of Police and Managing Director of Maharashtra Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Archana Tyagi, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Special Inspector General of Police Kolhapur Range Sunil Phulari, District Collector Santosh Patil, Superintendent of Police Tushar Doshi, Chief Executive Officer Yashni Nagarajan, Additional Superintendent of Police Vaishali Kadukar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Sabnis, along with senior police officials.

The Vrindavan Police Township in Satara, built for officers and personnel, comprises 698 residential units and includes facilities such as gyms, libraries, multipurpose halls, and a power house. Praising the work done by the Police Housing Corporation, CM Fadnavis said that when he assumed office as Chief Minister and Home Minister in 2014, he had resolved that police personnel should receive quality homes. The Police Housing Corporation was authorized for this purpose, provided with funds, and residential construction projects were launched across all districts of Maharashtra.

Earlier, many police families had to live in poor conditions in old police lines. With these projects, police families will have comfortable and dignified homes, ensuring a happy and supportive environment for officers and their children. The Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative aims to give police personnel a sense of security and well-being so they can focus on their duties and return home to a pleasant environment.

CM Fadnavis also congratulated Chief Engineers Rajaram Purigosavi and Vilas Birari for the excellent execution of the project. During the visit, he inspected the housing project and symbolically distributed the keys of the residences to police personnel. Officers and their families were present to receive the keys and witness the inauguration.
