Public Participation Key to Historic Army Day Parade in Jaipur

Jaipur, January 2026: Preparations are in full swing for the grand, spectacular and historic Army Day Parade–2026, scheduled to be held in Jaipur from January 8 to January 15, 2026. In this connection, a coordination meeting was held at the Collectorate auditorium on Monday, where District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni called upon representatives of trade associations, industrial bodies, voluntary organisations, non-governmental organisations and social groups to extend active cooperation and ensure wide public participation.

Addressing the meeting, the District Collector said that trade and social organisations have always played a vital role in all major events organised in Jaipur, and the district administration has consistently received their active support and cooperation. He expressed confidence that during Army Day Parade–2026, all associations and organisations would contribute at their respective levels and participate in making the event a success.

He said the Army Day Parade is not merely a formal event, but an occasion to honour the bravery, discipline and sacrifices of the Indian Army. The celebrations aim to promote a spirit of patriotism, discipline and national service among the general public, especially the youth. Therefore, participation from every section of society is essential.

During the meeting, Jaipur Trade Association President Subhash Goyal said that hosting the Army Day Parade in the state capital is a matter of great pride for the people of Rajasthan. He assured that trade and industrial organisations would extend all possible support for the event and would also encourage citizens to participate in large numbers so that they can witness the valour and strength of the Indian Army.

Providing details of the programme, officials informed that the Army Day Parade will be held at Mahal Road, Jagatpura, on January 9, 11, 13 and 15, starting at 7:00 am, where various army contingents will showcase their courage, discipline and skills. In addition, Shaurya Sandhya programmes will be organised at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on January 10 and 15, beginning at 4:30 pm, featuring military band performances, cultural programmes and daring demonstrations.

Further, from January 9 to January 12, the ‘Know Your Army’ programme and a modern weapons exhibition will be organised at Bhawani Niketan campus on Sikar Road, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Through this exhibition, the general public will get an opportunity to learn about the Indian Army’s functioning, modern equipment and defence capabilities.

The meeting was attended by Suresh Saini, General Secretary of the Federation, Ajay Agarwal, President of Central Spine Trade Association, Rajan Singh, President of the Automobile Dealers Association, along with representatives of various trade bodies, industrial organisations, voluntary groups, NGOs and social organisations, all of whom assured their cooperation in making the event successful.

On the occasion, Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Pratibha Verma, Additional District Collector Mukesh Kumar Moond, Yugantar Sharma, and officials from concerned departments were present. Various aspects related to security, traffic management, cleanliness, public facilities and citizen participation were also discussed during the meeting.

The district administration has appealed to all citizens to actively participate in the Army Day Parade–2026 events and contribute to the success of the celebrations while paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Army.
