Government Committed to Ensuring Holistic Development of Bastar Region: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Shri Sai Holds Cordial Interaction with Panchayat Representatives from Sukma District

Raipur, January 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today met and interacted with public representatives from remote Gram Panchayats of Sukma district who were on a visit to the state capital under the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman Yojana. The representatives paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at Mahanadi Bhavan, the state secretariat in Raipur. During the interaction, Shri Sai engaged in a warm and cordial dialogue with them and enquired about their well-being.

The Chief Minister stated that ensuring the holistic development of the Bastar region is the top priority of the state government. He said that the government is working continuously to ensure that basic facilities such as education, healthcare, roads, electricity and drinking water reach every village in Bastar.

While discussing with the panchayat representatives, Shri Sai said that development works are being carried out at a rapid pace in the Bastar region as well. He added that security force camps are being established in remote areas, which is providing both security and momentum to development activities.

The Chief Minister said that government ration shops have now been set up in most villages and that the benefits of various public welfare schemes are being effectively delivered to the common people. He expressed confidence that the Bastar region would be completely free from Naxalism in the near future.

Shri Sai further stated that the state government is consistently working towards the goal of a self-reliant Bastar. With this objective, public representatives from the Bastar region are being given opportunities to visit the state capital so that they can observe development initiatives firsthand and draw inspiration to promote comprehensive development in their own areas.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and concerned officials were present on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that under the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman Yojana, around 100 panchayat representatives from various remote Gram Panchayats of Sukma district are on a two-day visit to the capital city, Raipur. During the tour, the representatives are being taken to observe important locations such as the state secretariat, Jungle Safari, Tribal Museum, railway station, airport and shopping malls.
