People’s unwavering trust is our strength for State’s development and welfare: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that with the cooperation of all, the state is moving towards building a new Madhya Pradesh. He emphasised that for a developed Madhya Pradesh, it is essential to make villages, the poor, farmers, youth and women self-reliant, empowered & prosperous, and the government is moving ahead in this direction in mission mode. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that no region of the state would be left behind in the development process and that everyone would move forward together on the path of progress.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a training-cum-orientation program for beneficiaries of various government departments at Bahri, the tehsil headquarters of the Singhawal Assembly constituency in Sidhi district, on Friday. He said that the people’s unwavering trust in the government provides renewed energy and strength for the state’s overall development and welfare. Through new development works and employment generation, all necessary efforts are being made to provide sustainable strength to the state’s economy.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Bhoomi Poojan and inaugurated a total of 209 development projects worth ₹201.64 crore for Sidhi district. In addition, 505 works under the ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, costing ₹11.58 crore, were also launched. The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Poojan for 30 development works worth ₹133.62 crore and inaugurated 179 development works costing over ₹68 crore, presenting several infrastructure projects to the people of Sidhi district.

Responding to demands raised by local public representatives, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the opening of a new college in Bahri, which will commence from the next academic session. He also announced the construction of a 64.54-km-long two-lane road from Bahri to Churhat at a cost of ₹129 crore. The Chief Minister declared that science and commerce streams would be started in the colleges at Singhawal and Deosar. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that the currently part-time Additional Collector Court in Deosar would now function full-time. He also announced the construction of a new 500-metre-long bridge over the Gopad River and a causeway over the Mahan River. The Chief Minister declared the upgradation of some schools in the Singhawal Assembly constituency from high school to higher secondary level and the opening of primary health centres in certain villages. He assured that permanent irrigation facilities would be provided in all villages of the Bahri tehsil area.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all types of industries would be established in Sidhi district. He described Panja Dari as the identity of Sidhi and noted that several Panja Dari and carpet weaving units are located in clusters in the Singhawal block. He said that the state government is making efforts to secure a GI tag for Sidhis ‘Panja Dari’ and that it would be given global recognition. He stated that substantial investment is flowing into the textile sector, which will further promote the Panja Dari craft. The Chief Minister also distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that from January 12 to March 31, the state would implement the ‘Sankalp Se Samadhan Maha Abhiyan–1’ in the state. Under this campaign, the benefits of 106 beneficiary-oriented government schemes, services and facilities would be delivered door-to-door to citizens.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described Sidhi district, located on the banks of the Son River, as a ‘City of Gold’. Development works worth ₹201 crore were inaugurated and launched for the region, including the construction of new Janpad Panchayat buildings, Gram Panchayat buildings, and boys’ and girls’ hostels. He said that the government is moving forward with a firm commitment to women’s empowerment. The entire year has been dedicated to increasing farmers’ income, and all eligible farmers are receiving ₹12,000 annually through combined assistance from the central and state governments. The monthly assistance provided to Ladli Behna beneficiaries will continue to increase, and at present, ₹1,500 per month is being given. This support is enabling women to become entrepreneurs and self-reliant, while helping them manage household expenses and their children’s tuition fees. Nearly ₹50,000 crore has been disbursed to Ladli Behna beneficiaries so far. Women working in employment-based industries will also receive an additional benefit of ₹5,000 per month.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the last two years alone, the state has expanded its irrigated area by 10 lakh hectares. Through the river-linking initiative, the total irrigated area has now reached 55 lakh hectares, with a target of increasing it to 100 lakh hectares over the next five years. The state government is promoting animal husbandry and milk production to enhance farmers’ income. To encourage cattle rearing, the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme has been launched, providing grants of up to ₹40 lakh to beneficiaries. Under the Shri Anna scheme, the state will procure all coarse grains, including Kodo-Kutki, and provide a bonus. Through the Bhavantar scheme, farmers are receiving remunerative prices for soybean, and wheat has fetched ₹2,600 per quintal for farmers in the state. He said that Sidhi is the first district in the state to be directly connected to Rewa through a six-lane tunnel. Airports in Rewa and Satna are ready, while air services are already available in Singrauli. Railway connectivity between Sidhi and Singrauli will also be introduced soon.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has launched air ambulance services, which are now benefiting the poor and the needy. Free air ambulance services are available for Ayushman scheme beneficiaries. The government has also introduced an incentive of ₹25,000 for individuals who assist accident victims in reaching hospitals. He added that the central government is soon going to announce a scheme providing up to ₹1.5 lakh of free treatment for those who bring road accident victims to the nearest hospital. He noted that Sidhi district is a unique confluence of natural wealth, wildlife, and rivers, with tourism receiving a boost through attractions such as Sanjay Tiger Reserve, the Son Gharial Sanctuary, and the Son River.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that connectivity in Sidhi district would further improve through the ‘Vindhya Pragati Path.’ Under this project, a new four-lane highway will be constructed from Bhopal through Sagar, Damoh, Katni, Maihar, Rewa, and Sidhi to Singrauli, accelerating employment opportunities and industrial development. He said that 10 modern Sandipani schools are operational in Sidhi district, and parents are now withdrawing their children from private schools and enrolling them in government Sandipani schools. The government has also provided bus transport facilities for students of schools and colleges.

What Is Sankalp Se Samadhan Maha Abhiyan–1

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that from National Youth Day on January 12 to March 31, ‘Sankalp Se Samadhan Maha Abhiyan–1’ will be conducted across the state. Under this campaign, doorstep delivery of 106 public welfare schemes of the state government will be ensured. Government officials will reach every Assembly constituency, block, tehsil, district, village, and urban ward to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive benefits. In the first phase, from January 12 to February 15, applications will be collected door-to-door. In the second phase, from February 16 to March 16, cluster-level camps will be organised. In the third phase, from March 16 to March 26, pending applications, grievances, and new applications will be resolved at the block level. In the fourth phase, from March 26 to March 31, district-level camps will be organised for the final resolution of all remaining cases.

Sidhi–Singrauli Member of Parliament Dr. Rajesh Mishra said that development works worth ₹133 crore were inaugurated in Sidhi and demanded that the district be connected with the state’s ongoing industrial development drive. He said that since mahua production is high in the region, industries linked to mahua-based products should be promoted.

Singhawal MLA Shri Vishwamitra Pathak said that in the last two years alone, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has sanctioned development works worth over ₹4 crore for the Singhawal area. He noted that limestone is abundantly available in the region, and promoting related industries would create numerous employment opportunities for local youth. He also placed several region-specific demands before the Chief Minister.

The event was attended by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cottage and Village Industries and Sidhi district in-charge Shri Dilip Jaiswal, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Smt. Radha Singh, Sidhi MLA Smt. Riti Pathak, MLA Shri Kunwar Singh Tekam, MLA Shri Ramniwas Shah, MLA Shri Rajendra Meshram, District Panchayat President Smt. Manju Ramji Singh, former MLAs Shri Sharadendu Tiwari and Shri Ramlallu Bains, along with other public representatives, beneficiaries, and a large number of local citizens.

Chief Minister Reviews Exhibition

During the training-cum-orientation programme and the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of development works at Bahri in Sidhi district, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also reviewed exhibitions put up by various departments at the venue. He interacted with the beneficiaries of women’s self-help groups, tasted laddus prepared by them, and appreciated their efforts. The Chief Minister also offered laddus prepared by the self-help group to the district in-charge minister.
