Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Participates in Spiritual Programmes at Magh Mela in Prayagraj

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the ongoing Magh Mela in Prayagraj and took part in various spiritual and religious programmes.

He offered prayers to Mother Ganga, bowed his head at the feet of Bade Hanuman Ji, and also fed grains to the chirping birds in the Yamuna river.

Prayagraj, January 2026 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was on a visit to Prayagraj on Saturday, where he participated in several spiritual programmes. The Chief Minister took a holy dip at the Sangam, performed rituals at the Triveni Sangam, and offered aarti to Mother Ganga. He also visited the Bade Hanuman Temple and bowed his head at the feet of “Sankat Mochan” Hanuman Ji. During the visit, the Chief Minister acknowledged and greeted the general public.

Holy Dip at Sangam Nose, Aarti of Mother Ganga Performed
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived at the Magh Mela and travelled by boat from the VIP ghat to the Sangam Nose. From the boat, he fed grains to the birds chirping in the Yamuna river. Upon reaching the Sangam Nose, he took the sacred bath of the Magh month, performed traditional rituals, and offered aarti to Mother Ganga. Bowing his head at her feet, he prayed for the successful conduct of the Magh Mela. The Chief Minister returned while inspecting the arrangements from the boat and continued greeting the public during the journey.

Bowed at the Feet of Bade Hanuman Ji
The Chief Minister also inspected the Hanuman Corridor and visited the Bade Hanuman Temple. He sat at the feet of Hanuman Ji, offered prayers, performed aarti, and carried out rituals as per tradition. Present on the occasion were Santoshacharya Ji Maharaj, also known as “Satua Baba,” Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Nand Gopal Gupta “Nandi,” MLAs Siddharth Nath Singh and Harshvardhan Vajpayee, and former MP Vinod Sonkar, among others.
