Chandrababu Naidu Urges TDP Cadre to Strengthen Alliance Coordination Ahead of Future Elections

Amaravati, May 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday called upon party cadre to work in close coordination with alliance partners to replicate the success achieved in the 2024 elections in the upcoming electoral battles.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Telugu Desam Party’s annual conclave, Mahanadu, Chandrababu Naidu stressed the importance of unity among coalition partners and urged party workers to rise above personal differences and ego clashes while working alongside the Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He emphasised that maintaining harmony within the alliance would be crucial for repeating the massive electoral success witnessed in 2024.

The TDP chief also directed party leaders and cadre to begin preparations for the upcoming local body elections, stating that victory in every election remained important for the party’s long-term political strength.

“Whatever the election may be, victory is important for the party. We must move ahead with the sole objective of winning while continuing to work for the welfare of the people,” Chandrababu Naidu said.

The Chief Minister asserted that the TDP-led coalition government was working relentlessly to rebuild Andhra Pradesh after inheriting what he described as a financially distressed state.

Highlighting the welfare measures implemented by the government, Chandrababu Naidu stated that nearly Rs 63,000 crore had already been disbursed towards social security pensions, which he termed a record achievement in the welfare sector.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and said the administration was focused on ensuring women’s social, economic and political dignity.

“We are implementing programmes that range from providing property rights to women to schemes like ‘Talli Ki Vandanam’. Our government is committed to empowering women in education, employment and financial independence,” he said.

The TDP president also declared that the party would continue supporting women’s political empowerment until 33 per cent reservation in legislative bodies becomes a reality. He noted that, apart from reservations in local bodies, the party would stand firmly behind women in all spheres of public life.

Referring to the hybrid format in which this year’s Mahanadu is being conducted, Chandrababu Naidu remarked that while the organisational model may have evolved, the spirit and ideology of the conclave remained unchanged.

Recalling the origins of the TDP, he said the party was founded on welfare principles aimed at ensuring food, shelter and security for people. He claimed that the TDP introduced “vision politics” and represented the self-respect and aspirations of Telugu people.

“Just as the National Flag symbolises the honour of the nation, the yellow flag of the TDP symbolises the pride and self-respect of Telugu people,” he said.

The Chief Minister stated that for the last 45 years, the TDP had continuously fought for people’s rights despite facing political attacks, violence, legal battles and harassment.

“Even in the face of violence, fabricated cases and political attacks, our struggles on behalf of the people have never stopped,” he added.

Projecting the TDP as a party focused on long-term transformation rather than short-term electoral gains, Chandrababu Naidu said the party’s vision extended beyond the next election cycle.

“The TDP does not work merely for the next election; it works for the next generation,” he remarked.

He specifically referred to Gen Z, Gen Alpha and younger generations, stating that the state’s long-term development vision was being designed around their aspirations and future opportunities.

The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh was being positioned as a major destination for artificial intelligence, semiconductors, aerospace, electronics, space technology and advanced manufacturing industries.

He also highlighted initiatives aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation among youth, including the “One Family-One Entrepreneur” initiative, startup promotion schemes, Mega DSC recruitment drives and large-scale employment generation plans.

According to Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh attracted investments worth Rs 23 lakh crore within just 23 months, which he claimed would generate nearly 23 lakh jobs in the state.

He revealed that through the State Investment Promotion Board, approvals had already been granted to 282 projects involving investments of Rs 11.27 lakh crore.

“Industries, food processing units, rare earth mineral projects and even a fifth-generation fighter jet manufacturing project are coming to Andhra Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said.

He added that the government had approved the fighter jet manufacturing and testing project within just 36 days, demonstrating what he described as the state’s “Speed of Doing Business” model.

“It is precisely this speed and efficiency that helped bring the Bullet motorcycle manufacturing project to Tirupati,” Chandrababu Naidu added.
