400 ‘Little Vivekanandas’ Captivate Audience; Youth Urged to Adopt Five Transformations
Raipur, January 2026 : On the occasion of National Youth Day, Minister for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, emphasized that only by imbibing the thoughts and teachings of Swami Vivekananda can India become strong, harmonious, and developed. She called upon the youth to embrace the “Five Transformations” in their lives: social harmony, family enlightenment, environmental protection, indigenous conduct, and adherence to civic duties.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Rajwade highlighted the pivotal role of young people in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India by 2047. She further noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is committed to providing youth with opportunities in education, skill development, and employment. She stressed that an educated, aware, and value-driven youth will shape the future of both the nation and the state.
The district-level celebration, held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium in Surajpur, witnessed a historic and inspiring sight as 400 school students participated dressed as Swami Vivekananda. Minister Rajwade described this spectacle as extraordinary, saying it felt as though the energy of Swami Vivekananda had come alive on the stage through the youth themselves.
During the event, the Minister urged young people to stay away from substance abuse, dedicate themselves to national service, and participate in environmental initiatives like the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign. The ceremony also included an oath-taking for a self-reliant India and a drug-free India.
The celebration featured speeches, poetry recitations, rangoli competitions, cultural performances, and other contests, in which more than 400 students participated enthusiastically.
The program was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Premnagar MLA Mr. Bhulan Singh Maravi, District Panchayat Chairperson Mrs. Chandramani Paikra, former MLA Mrs. Rajni Ravishankar Tripathi, along with other representatives, district administration officials, and a large number of students. All guests paid homage by garlanding a portrait of Swami Vivekananda.
Concluding the event, Minister Rajwade reminded everyone of Swami Vivekananda’s famous mantra: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached”, noting that this message will continue to inspire future generations towards nation-building and human welfare.
