Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai Meets Jio Company Officials

Lawngtlai, Jan 2026: At 10:00 AM today, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai, held a meeting in his office chamber with officials of Jio Company regarding the installation of a new Jio Tower in Lawngtlai town.

Pu Donny Lalruatsanga stated that Lawngtlai town has been lagging in reliable Internet and mobile connectivity, and the initiative by the company to install new towers is a welcome step to improve mobile services and Internet access. During the meeting, the DC appreciated the company’s efforts to enhance connectivity and emphasized the need for timely tower installation.

The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted that in areas with poor Internet signals, the government is prepared to provide necessary support and land permissions to expedite the process. He requested the company to ensure that tower installations are carried out efficiently to benefit residents with uninterrupted services. The planned mobile tower in Electric Veng Area, Lawngtlai was specifically discussed, with the DC noting that it will significantly improve local connectivity.

Pu Gilbert Renthlei, Mizoram State Coordinator of Jio Company, assured that the company is committed to providing better services to residents and confirmed that the tower installation in Lawngtlai town will proceed as planned. He expressed confidence that the project would be completed soon and will strengthen mobile and Internet coverage in the district.

The meeting was also attended by officials and stakeholders including Pu David Lalrinawma, Additional DC; Pu David Chakma, EE P&E; Pu Elvis Lalthangzuala, MJA President; Pu Lalngaihzuala Fanchun, Treasurer of CYLA; and Pu K. Laldinmawia, President of LDVCA.
