Parliamentary Delegates from 40 Commonwealth Nations to Visit Jaipur
Jaipur, January 2026: Around 120 parliamentary delegates from 40 Commonwealth countries will visit Jaipur on January 17 and 18. The delegation will include Speakers of Legislatures, Members of Parliament, and senior parliamentary officials from various Commonwealth nations. On Saturday morning, the delegates will be formally welcomed at Jaipur Airport by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani.
During their two-day visit, the parliamentary representatives will study the parliamentary working system and traditions followed in the state. In addition, the delegates will tour Jaipur’s historic landmarks to gain insights into Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage. On the first day of the visit, the delegation will visit Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Albert Hall. In the afternoon, the Commonwealth representatives will also visit the Constitutional Club.
Ahead of the visit, Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department, Shri Naveen Jain, chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday evening to assess the preparedness for the two-day tour. He directed officials to ensure that all arrangements are in place for the delegation’s stay and movements. He also instructed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and effectively discharge their responsibilities to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit.
