Slovakia’s NUkler Proposes ₹6,000 Crore SMR Clean Energy Project in Telangana
Davos, Jan 2026: A major milestone in Telangana’s clean energy journey was achieved at the World Economic Forum 2026 as NUkler Products, a joint venture promoted by Slovakia-based IQ Capital and India-based Green House Enviro, formally expressed interest in partnering with the state to develop a next-generation clean energy project. The initiative focuses on sustainability, advanced technology, and future-ready energy solutions.
During the engagement, NUkler Products submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) to explore the development of a Small Modular Reactor (SMR)-based clean energy project in Telangana, with a proposed installed capacity of up to 300 MW and an estimated investment of EUR 600 million (approx. ₹6,000 crore). The meeting was held with the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy.
Representing the company were Dr. Jan Babic, Group Chairman, IQ Capital, Anil Kumar Bavissetty, Group CEO and Director, IQ Capital, and Molugu Sripal Reddy, CEO and Director, Green House Enviro. Matus Gemes, Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to the Principality of Liechtenstein, was also present, highlighting the strong international dimension and collaborative potential of the project.
Welcoming the proposal, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized Telangana’s proactive approach to encouraging sustainable, clean, and technologically advanced energy infrastructure. He noted that such projects align with the state’s long-term development vision, with sustainability being a core pillar of Telangana’s policy framework, particularly as the state pursues its Net Zero target by 2047.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Telangana is committed to creating an enabling environment for next-generation energy projects, including facilitating regulatory approvals, offering incentives, and supporting partnerships that strengthen the state’s position as a hub for advanced technology-driven infrastructure.
Ministers Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Shri Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy were part of the delegation and participated in detailed discussions, reiterating the government’s commitment to clean, future-ready energy initiatives. The meeting underscored Telangana’s focus on sustainable industrial growth, innovation, and international collaboration in energy and technology sectors.
The engagement with NUkler Products represents a significant step in Telangana’s ambition to transition toward advanced, low-carbon energy solutions while attracting global investment in next-generation infrastructure projects.
