Chief Minister Discusses New Site for Thenzawl Peace City with AH & Veterinary Departments
Aizawl, Jan 2026: The Chief Minister held discussions at the CM Conference Hall regarding the proposed site for Thenzawl Peace City Master Plan and the allocation of new sites under the Animal Husbandry (AH) and Veterinary Department.
The Thenzawl Master Plan was prepared by IPE Global, and the government has also proposed an incentive of Rs. 150 crore under the SASCI scheme for the development of Peace City. The proposal involves acquiring land for Peace City, including areas under the AH & Veterinary and Fisheries Departments.
Currently, the land under consideration is largely unused and has remained idle for many years. To ensure effective utilization and benefit to local communities, the government has initiated planning and development measures. The discussion focused on allocating new land for AH & Veterinary purposes, with the Chief Minister reviewing possible sites.
The meeting was attended by Pu K. Sapdanga, UD&PA Minister; Pu Vanlalhlana, PWD Minister; Pu C. Lalsawivunga, AH & Veterinary Minister; Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Tourism Minister, along with other senior officials.
