Mega PTM & Nipun Mela in Ajmer Schools on Basant Panchami; CM Bhajanlal Sharma Virtually Addresses Students
Jaipur, January 2026 : On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) and Nipun Melas were held across all government schools in Ajmer district. Parents of students from classes 1 to 12 actively participated, reviewing their children’s academic progress, learning levels, and overall development. Nipun Melas for students of classes 1 to 5 were also organized in all PEEO schools, along with Krishna Bhog offerings.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma addressed the gathering virtually from Jaipur, emphasizing the importance of quality education and innovation. The district-level event in Ajmer was presided over by Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, attended by the district collector, elected representatives, education officials, teachers, parents, and students.
The program began with Maa Saraswati Vandana and collective singing of Vande Mataram. Through live video conferencing, the CM engaged with students, teachers, and parents, highlighting the significance of participation, quality, and innovation in education.
Speaker Devnani stated that Mega PTMs strengthen the education system and should be conducted as Mothers-Teachers Meets (MTM) since mothers lay the foundation of a child’s values. He urged parents to regularly communicate with teachers and encourage children to openly interact with both teachers and parents, as lack of dialogue can mislead children.
He emphasized that modern education should integrate ethics, moral values, and practical knowledge alongside technology, AI, and digital skills. Merit-based evaluation will be implemented at Gargi schools, and initiatives like bicycle distribution for girls are empowering students. He encouraged students to set goals, aim to create jobs rather than just seek them, and contribute to India’s global leadership.
As part of the program, the Assembly Speaker distributed free bicycles to girls, and financial benefits were transferred to students via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
