Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai says every citizen must contribute to building a developed India and developed Chhattisgarh
Raipur, October 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life have been dedicated to service, good governance, public welfare and nation-building.
Sai participated in the ‘Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang’ programme organised at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The Prime Minister’s inspiring journey from struggle to service and from service to nation-building was presented through the ‘Namo Seva Gatha’ light and sound show.
Addressing the gathering, Sai said October 7 marked an important milestone in the public life of the country, as Modi completed 25 years in public life. His journey, spanning nearly 13 years as Gujarat Chief Minister and more than 12 years as Prime Minister, is an inspiring story of service, good governance, public welfare and dedication to nation-building.
Sai said Modi had consistently placed national interest above everything else and worked towards making India prosperous, strong and self-reliant. Considering the country’s 140 crore citizens as his family, he was taking India forward with the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
He said the poor, farmers, youth, women and deprived sections of society had remained at the centre of government schemes under Modi’s leadership, ensuring that the benefits of development reached the last person in society.
PM Modi’s Vision of Developed India
Sai said Modi had set the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. Realising this vision, he said, was not only the responsibility of governments but a collective responsibility of every citizen.
“Along with building a developed India, we must move forward with full strength and determination to build a developed Chhattisgarh,” Sai said.
He said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was being organised in Chhattisgarh from September 17 to October 17 on the occasion of Modi’s birthday. The month-long campaign has been connected with public participation through 13 different initiatives aimed at taking the spirit of service, cleanliness, social responsibility and nation-building to people across the state.
Sai appealed to citizens to participate actively in the campaign.
PM’s Journey an Inspiration for Youth
The Chief Minister said the Namo Seva Gatha provided an opportunity to witness different phases of Modi’s life, his struggles, spirit of service and commitment to nation-building.
He said Modi’s journey from ordinary circumstances to leading the country through hard work, discipline, determination and a spirit of service conveyed an important message to young people: with strong determination and an objective of public service, even major challenges can be transformed into opportunities.
New Chapter of Peace and Development in Bastar
Sai said the campaign against Naxalism had achieved historic success through the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the determination of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the courage of security forces and the cooperation of local people.
He said conditions in Bastar, which had remained affected by violence and fear for decades, were changing rapidly. Areas where development had once been difficult to reach were now receiving roads, education, healthcare, communication facilities and government schemes.
According to Sai, a new phase of peace, development and public trust had begun in Bastar. He referred to the Central government’s March 31, 2026 announcement highlighting India’s achievement of becoming effectively free of Naxalism.
He said the state government was committed to ensuring that every resident of Bastar became part of the development mainstream and that young people received better opportunities in education, skills, employment and entrepreneurship.
Farmers’ Prosperity a Priority
Sai said several important steps had been taken under Modi’s leadership to promote the welfare and economic empowerment of farmers.
He said the Centre and the state government were working with commitment towards farmers’ interests, with continuous efforts to increase farm incomes, connect agriculture with modern technology and strengthen the rural economy.
Mahtari Vandan Strengthens Women’s Economic Independence
Sai said Modi had made women’s empowerment an important foundation of national progress and that the Chhattisgarh government was also working continuously to strengthen women economically and socially.
Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, around 68 lakh eligible women in the state are being provided financial assistance of Rs 1,000 every month. More than Rs 20,000 crore has so far been provided under the scheme.
Sai said the assistance was not only providing women with greater economic strength but also strengthening their participation in decision-making within their families.
Major Expansion of Rail Connectivity
The Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh was witnessing rapid development in infrastructure and connectivity under Modi’s leadership.
He said works worth around Rs 51,000 crore were underway to expand railway facilities in the state.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, 32 railway stations in Chhattisgarh are being redeveloped. New railway projects and modernisation of stations will provide better facilities to passengers and strengthen connectivity to remote areas.
Sai said an improved railway network would also accelerate opportunities in industry, trade, tourism and employment.
Basic Facilities Being Strengthened in Tribal Villages
Sai said respect for tribal communities, preservation of their culture and comprehensive development of tribal areas had remained among Modi’s priorities.
Under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, basic facilities such as housing, roads, education, healthcare, drinking water, electricity and livelihoods are being strengthened in 6,691 tribal villages of Chhattisgarh.
He said better access to development in remote tribal areas was helping families connect more closely with government schemes and facilities.
Sai described tribal communities as the pride of India’s culture and traditions and said the government aimed to ensure that tribal regions not only participated in the development journey but also emerged as major centres of the state’s progress.
Chhattisgarh Emerging on Global Investment Map
Sai said the growing global confidence in India under Modi’s leadership was also benefiting Chhattisgarh.
He said the state government was taking rapid steps to establish Chhattisgarh among the country’s major investment destinations through a new industrial development policy, transparent administration and an investor-friendly environment.
Referring to his recent visit to Singapore, Sai said extensive discussions with the Singapore business community had generated considerable interest in Chhattisgarh among investors.
He said representatives of 15 major companies had expressed interest in investing in Chhattisgarh during one-to-one discussions, influenced by the state’s new industrial development policy and investor-friendly environment.
Sai said these investment proposals were aimed not merely at establishing industries but also at creating new employment opportunities for the state’s youth, strengthening the local economy and developing Chhattisgarh as a major centre for modern industry, technology and innovation.
He said the role of a developed Chhattisgarh would be important in the vision of a developed India.
“Our goal is to build a Chhattisgarh that is prosperous, self-reliant and capable of making a leading contribution to the country’s development journey,” Sai said.
