Jaipur, Aug 2026: Alwar witnessed a strong display of patriotism on Monday as a Tricolour bike rally was organised under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign being held ahead of Independence Day.
Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge) Sanjay Sharma flagged off the two-wheeler rally from the Shaheed Smarak at Company Bagh and participated in it himself, carrying the national flag. Before joining the rally, Sharma paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the memorial and honoured their sacrifice.
Addressing participants, Sharma said the Tricolour represents the nation’s honour, pride and dignity and that every citizen has a responsibility to protect the country’s unity, integrity and reputation.
He said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign provides an opportunity to pay tribute to freedom fighters and brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation, while also drawing inspiration from their courage and dedication.
Sharma noted that the campaign has received an enthusiastic response from people across Alwar, with citizens from different sections of society participating in large numbers. He appealed to residents to hoist the Tricolour at their homes on August 15 and actively participate in programmes organised under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The rally witnessed participation from a large number of social workers, young people and students. Waving the Tricolour and raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and other patriotic chants, participants filled the city with an atmosphere of national pride and enthusiasm.
The Tricolour bike rally began at the Shaheed Smarak and passed through several major roads of Alwar before concluding at Hope Circus. The event served as a platform for citizens, particularly the youth, to express their patriotism and reaffirm their commitment to the nation.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign seeks to encourage citizens to participate in Independence Day celebrations by proudly displaying the national flag at their homes and public places, turning the national festival into a collective expression of patriotism and respect for the country’s freedom struggle.
