The dream of meritorious students of state who have secured 75 per cent or more marks in Class 12 in their first attempt to connect with modern technology is soon going to be fulfilled. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer Rs 25,000 each to around 1.22 lakh students of state for purchase of laptops. This amount will be provided to students during the programme for distribution of funds for laptop purchase, organised at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Bhopal, on September 1.
To encourage students and connect them with digital technology, the State Government is running Pratibhashi Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana through School Education Department. Under this scheme, each eligible student who secures 75 per cent or more marks in Class 12 examination in the first attempt is provided an incentive of Rs 25,000 for purchasing a laptop.
Support for Technical Education of Meritorious Students
This year, around 1.22 lakh students of state are being benefited under the scheme. Rs 25,000 will be transferred to account of each student. In total, more than Rs 304 crore 98 lakh 50 thousand will be transferred to students.
It is noteworthy that this initiative of State Government is an important step towards providing meritorious students with digital resources required for higher education and connecting them with modern technology. Through laptops, students will be able to use online study material, digital educational content, e-learning and other technological resources to further improve their education.
