BJP Plans Grand Delhi Event to Mark PM Modi’s 25 Years in Public Life

New Delhi, Oct 2026 : BJP National President Nitin Nabin will lead party leaders and workers in organising a grand programme at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life, party sources said on Monday.

The event is being planned as a major highlight of the ongoing month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which has been organised to commemorate Modi’s 25 years of public service. The nationwide campaign began on September 17 and is scheduled to conclude on October 17.

According to BJP sources, Prime Minister Modi is likely to attend the Delhi programme in person and address party leaders, workers and supporters gathered at the stadium. The event is expected to bring together a large number of BJP functionaries as part of the celebrations.

Several senior BJP leaders will also participate in Seva Jyoti Yatra programmes across Haryana on October 7. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to be in Kurukshetra, where he will participate in a Seva Jyoti Yatra organised under the campaign.

BJP leader Smriti Irani will participate in a similar programme in Jind. The visit will be her first to Haryana in her capacity as the state in-charge.

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan has featured a series of public-service and outreach programmes across the country. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said 12 different types of programmes had been planned to mark 25 years of service by Modi, who is referred to by the BJP as the country’s ‘Pradhan Sevak’.

The campaign includes activities such as NaMo Seva’s Untold Stories, blood donation camps, musical and theatrical performances in local languages, Aangan Milan Sewa, Matru Samvad, Sewa Jyoti Kalash Yatra and Seva Mera Yogdaan.

Government agencies and organisations have also conducted programmes under the broader Seva Sankalp campaign. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission, for instance, has organised the Seva Sankalp Khadi Mahotsav, with activities including cleanliness drives, tree plantation, Khadi yatras, awareness programmes and artisan interactions continuing until October 17.

A Vadnagar-to-Varanasi Sewa Yatra is also underway as part of the celebrations. Youth participants have set out simultaneously from Vadnagar in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, travelling through seven states.

During the journey, participants are making night halts in villages and taking part in voluntary service activities, including cleanliness drives. The initiative is intended to connect Modi’s public-life milestone with grassroots participation and community service.

The BJP has been organising a range of programmes across states during the month-long campaign, with party workers participating in service-oriented activities and public outreach events. The October 7 programme in Delhi is expected to serve as one of the central events marking Modi’s 25-year journey in public service.
