Chhattisgarh Strengthens Digital Governance: 939 Services from 38 Departments Available on One Platform

Raipur, October 2026: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is operating the Seva Setu platform to make governance simpler, more transparent and accessible to citizens.

The initiative aims to spare people the inconvenience of making unnecessary visits to government offices and bring public services and welfare schemes within easier reach. By using digital technology to bridge the gap between the government and citizens, the platform represents an important step towards citizen-centric administration.

Seva Setu currently provides 939 services from 38 government departments across the state. A network of 16,773 service centres has been established to facilitate the delivery of these services.

So far, action is underway on 55,13,672 applications received online through the platform. A total of 21,582 government officers and employees have also been onboarded to support the delivery and management of services. These figures reflect the state's efforts to expand access to public services through digital channels.

Multiple government services available on one platform

A key feature of Seva Setu is that it brings several essential government services together on a single platform. Citizens can apply online for services such as income, caste and residence certificates, marriage registration and Gumasta licences, among others.

The integrated system reduces the need to visit different government offices and makes the application process more convenient.

The initiative is particularly useful for residents of rural areas and remote forest regions, where people often have to travel long distances even to complete routine government formalities.

Greater transparency and accountability

Seva Setu is intended not only to facilitate online applications but also to make the delivery of government services more systematic and accountable.

Digital processes help officials monitor application status, route applications to the relevant authorities and organise service delivery more efficiently. These features can strengthen administrative transparency and support the timely delivery of services to citizens.

The initiative also seeks to connect digital technology with public welfare by making online facilities accessible to ordinary citizens.

Service centres help bridge the digital divide

Through its network of service centres, the platform can assist people who require guidance or support to navigate online application procedures.

The coordination between digital services and physical service centres is expected to make government facilities more accessible, including for citizens who may not be familiar with online processes.

The state government aims to ensure that people do not face unnecessary difficulties while accessing public services. Under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai's leadership, Seva Setu is intended to simplify administrative procedures, expand the reach of government services and make governance more citizen-focused.

The effectiveness of the initiative can be further strengthened through efficient implementation, timely disposal of applications and greater public awareness of digital services.

The central objective is to extend the benefits of good governance to every citizen of Chhattisgarh by making government services simpler, more accessible and more transparent.
