Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign, Grand Tree Plantation Drive to Take Place at Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar, September 2026: The nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to protect the environment and Mother Earth, has now entered its third phase. To strengthen this important campaign and make Gujarat greener, a special tree plantation programme has been organised at the Sachivalaya in Gandhinagar.
As the Legislative Assembly session begins tomorrow, this green drive will be held at the Sachivalaya premises, opposite the statue of Pujya Mahatma Gandhi. Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Shankar Chaudhary, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, members of the Council of Ministers, and all 182 MLAs will come together to plant trees and pledge to protect nature. Their collective participation will inspire citizens across the state to contribute to environmental conservation.
The tree plantation programme will be held immediately after the inauguration of the state-of-the-art disaster management facility, ‘BHISHM Cube’. State ministers, MLAs and all dignitaries present in the House have been invited to participate. Through this initiative, Gujarat will reaffirm its commitment to green governance and sustainable development.
