Patna, Sept 2026: Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary paid floral tribute to the statue of former Chief Minister late Dara Singh Prasad Rai on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister garlanded the statue located in front of the new Secretariat complex and paid his respects to the former Chief Minister.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Cooperation Minister Shri Ramkripal Yadav, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Ashok Choudhary, Science, Technology and Technical Education Minister Smt. Sheela Kumari, MLAs Shri Shyam Rajak and Shri Arun Manjhi, Legislative Council members Shri Sanjay Singh and Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhi Ji, Farmers' Commission Chairman Shri Rupanarayan Mehta, along with other public representatives, former ministers, and distinguished personalities, also paid floral tributes to late Dara Singh Prasad Rai.
His son, Shri Chandrika Rai, and other family members were also present on the occasion. Several dignitaries paid their respects by offering flowers at the statue of the former Chief Minister.
On the occasion, artists from the Information and Public Relations Department presented a series of devotional and patriotic programmes, including an aarti, puja, bhajan-kirtan, the National Song, the National Anthem, the Bihar Song and patriotic songs.
