Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected areas affected by heavy rainfall in Chitrakoot, Satna district, this morning and, after meeting local residents, issued clear directions to the Satna district administration for necessary action. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav received updates throughout the day from the Satna district administration on the ongoing relief efforts while in Orchha, Niwari district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made it clear that there should be no shortfall in providing relief to the people. The Satna Collector informed him that, in view of the heavy rainfall and to ensure students’ safety, all schools across the district will remain closed on August 31 and September 1.
As directed by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, officials have been instructed to stay in Chitrakoot for three days to ensure necessary assistance to people affected by the heavy rainfall and continuously monitor the situation in the area. He also directed that assistance for various types of losses be provided to the affected people as per the provisions of Revenue Book Circular 6/4.
CM Dr. Yadav Issues Directions
Immediately ensure all essential arrangements, including food, clothing, drinking water and medical care, for all flood-affected people.
Ensure delivery of essential relief materials to affected people, and provide safe drinking water and food to rescued villagers as well.
Complete the assessment of flood-related damage in a timely manner.
All concerned district administration officials should regularly visit the affected areas and stay there overnight. Ensure appropriate assistance from the SDRF and NDRF.
Ensure that dry ration and other essential relief materials reach all affected people.
Ensure that affected families also receive essential materials provided by voluntary organisations and other contributors, along with assistance from the administration.
Provide necessary assistance not only to local residents but also to devotees currently visiting Chitrakoot.
