Greater Noida, September 2026: The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) has given the state’s business potential a new identity on the global stage within just four days. The five-day international trade fair, being held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, has witnessed the signing of 3,765 business agreements (MoUs) worth a cumulative ₹5,500 crore, or approximately $574 million, as of September 28.

In addition, business enquiries worth ₹12,500 crore have been recorded from buyers and companies from India and abroad. With the final day of the trade show still remaining, the figures for business activity and participation are expected to rise further.

According to Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) Additional Director General Suvidha Shah, a total of 35,387 business-to-business meetings had been completed by September 28. Of these, 11,887 meetings were held under the Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) organised for international buyers, while 23,500 B2B meetings between domestic and international buyers were recorded in the main exhibition area.

These meetings have provided entrepreneurs, manufacturers and exporters from Uttar Pradesh with opportunities to directly engage with buyers from India and overseas and explore business partnerships and agreements.

The 3,765 MoUs and ₹12,500 crore worth of business enquiries recorded during the first four days indicate the growing role of UPITS as a trade platform connecting the state’s products, entrepreneurs and manufacturing capabilities with markets, rather than functioning merely as an exhibition.

Entrepreneurs associated with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the One District One Product (ODOP) programme, handlooms, handicrafts, agricultural products, food processing and modern manufacturing have received opportunities to interact directly with domestic and international buyers.

Alongside business activity, UPITS 4.0 has also witnessed significant public participation. According to official cumulative figures available until September 28, the trade show recorded a total footfall of 5,48,881. This included 1,56,523 domestic business buyers and 3,92,358 general visitors.

The large presence of buyers, entrepreneurs and visitors has maintained sustained commercial activity across the various exhibition halls at the India Expo Centre and Mart.

UPITS 4.0 has been organised in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of taking “Local to Global”, with a focus on connecting Uttar Pradesh’s industrial capabilities, local products and entrepreneurial ecosystem with international markets.

The fourth edition was inaugurated jointly by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on September 25. The event has placed particular emphasis on creating opportunities for the state’s MSMEs, ODOP products, handicrafts, handlooms, agricultural products and manufacturing sector through direct interaction with buyers from India and abroad.

The business agreements signed during the event are expected to open up new market opportunities for enterprises across these sectors. The participation of international buyers has also enabled Uttar Pradesh-based manufacturers and exporters to showcase their products and explore potential partnerships beyond the domestic market.

With the figures recorded until September 28, the final day of UPITS 4.0 on September 29 assumes significance. The closing day is expected to add further to the cumulative numbers for trade agreements, business enquiries, B2B meetings and overall footfall.

The activity recorded during the first four days has highlighted the growing role of Uttar Pradesh as a destination for domestic and international trade and has brought the state’s industrial, manufacturing and entrepreneurial capabilities into sharper focus on the national and global business landscape.
