Lucknow/Etawah, Sept 2026 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is implementing various self-employment schemes to make youth and women self-reliant. Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM Yuva) is one such important initiative, which is working to make people not job seekers but job creators. Sadhna, a resident of the Mahewa area of Etawah district, is an inspiring example of this. With the financial assistance received under the scheme, she established ‘Jai Bhole Water Plant’ and is successfully running her business today.
Sadhna explains that she came to know about Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM Yuva) through a newspaper. At that time, she did not have any business of her own, but she wanted to strengthen her family’s financial condition and become self-reliant. After learning about the scheme, she applied and decided to establish her enterprise. According to her, this initiative of the government provided her with an opportunity to stand on her own feet.
In April 2025, Sadhna received a loan of Rs 3.20 lakh and a grant of Rs 87,000 under the scheme. With this financial assistance, she established ‘Jai Bhole Water Plant’. Sadhna explains that arranging capital was the biggest challenge in starting the business. Due to inadequate resources, starting the business was not easy, but the assistance received under the scheme made her path easier. After this, she started the work of providing pure drinking water and gradually earned the trust of customers.
With continuous hard work and better services, her water plant has today established its own identity in the area. At present, the annual turnover of her enterprise has reached approximately Rs 4.20 lakh. Sadhna states that quality service and customers’ trust are the foundation of her success. Her enterprise has also provided direct employment to 6 people, linking the livelihoods of several families with it.
Sadhna says that she wants to take her water plant business further in the future. Her aim is to provide pure drinking water to more people while also creating new employment opportunities.
She believes that if hard work is supported by government schemes, the dream of becoming self-reliant can easily be realised. Sadhna’s success is proof that Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM Yuva), being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is strengthening the resolve of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh by empowering people economically and making them self-reliant.
