Bengaluru, Sep 2026 : The Karnataka government on Friday unveiled a new logo for its ‘Bharath Jodo’ initiative, a programme aimed at bringing young people together while promoting unity, social harmony and responsible citizenship across the state.
Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara officially launched the new logo, marking a significant step in the rollout of the initiative. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar described the new visual identity as a reflection of the collective aspirations and spirit of unity among the people of Karnataka.
The logo was selected through a public participation process that received 255 entries from different parts of the state. The exercise was undertaken to develop a distinctive identity for the programme and encourage citizens, particularly young people, to contribute to its vision.
The initiative seeks to increase youth participation in nation-building and encourage responsible citizenship by fostering a greater sense of unity and social responsibility.
To ensure that the selection process remained transparent and professionally conducted, the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath was entrusted with scrutinising and evaluating the designs submitted by participants.
Following a detailed assessment, two designs were shortlisted and placed before Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwara for final approval. Elements and concepts from both shortlisted entries were subsequently brought together creatively to develop the final logo.
The resulting identity is intended to represent the central objectives of the Bharath Jodo initiative, including unity, togetherness, youth engagement and the collective strength of Karnataka’s people.
Parameshwara, who also holds the Sports portfolio, unveiled the logo at an event on Friday. The launch is expected to provide a distinctive visual identity to the programme as it expands its activities across Karnataka.
Reacting to the launch, Chief Minister Shivakumar said the logo was not merely a visual symbol but represented the hopes, aspirations and collective spirit of the people of the state.
In a post on social media platform X, Shivakumar said the final identity had emerged through public participation and incorporated ideas from the shortlisted designs.
“Bharath Jodo begins its journey across Karnataka with a new identity -- one that belongs to all of us,” Shivakumar said.
The Chief Minister described Bharath Jodo as a flagship initiative envisioned to bring young people together, nurture responsible citizenship and inspire them to take an active role in nation-building.
He also highlighted the importance of public participation in shaping the programme’s identity, saying the logo-design exercise had helped create a symbol that reflected collective ideas and the spirit of togetherness.
With its new visual identity, the Bharath Jodo initiative is set to expand its outreach among Karnataka’s youth while focusing on the broader objectives of unity, social harmony and active citizenship.
