Lawngtlai, September 2026: The Mizoram Premier League (MPL) Lawngtlai Organising Committee held a meeting today at the office chamber of its Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, who chaired the meeting.
Pu Donny Lalruatsanga said that MPL Season 12, Round 10 had been successfully held in Lawngtlai and expressed his appreciation to the MPL Lawngtlai Organising Committee for its efforts. He said that hosting MPL matches in Lawngtlai itself was a major achievement and thanked everyone who had contributed to and attended the matches.
As MPL Season 13 is currently underway, he stressed the need to ensure that matches are also held in Lawngtlai. He said proper planning would be required and assured that every effort would be made in this regard. Pointing out that Lawngtlai district has its own MPL team, he said it was important for MPL Season 13 matches to be hosted in Lawngtlai as well. He also appealed to the people to extend their wholehearted support to the initiative.
Pu C. Hrangthianga, Executive Member (EM), LADC, in-charge of Sports and Youth Services and also Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee, discussed various requirements and measures needed to ensure that MPL Season 13 is successfully hosted in Lawngtlai.
Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah, Honorary Secretary of the Lawngtlai District Football Association (LDFA), presented a report on the conduct of MPL Season 12, Round 10, along with other matters requiring attention.
During the meeting, various plans for hosting MPL Season 13 in Lawngtlai were discussed. A budget of Rs 7 lakh was proposed for the event, and it was decided that fundraising and sponsorship initiatives should be undertaken to meet the requirement.
The departments responsible for various activities during MPL Season 12, Round 10 were also assigned their respective responsibilities again for the upcoming arrangements.
