New Delhi, October 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday took a sharp dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he completed 25 years in executive office, saying, “25 years have passed, now please leave the country alone, Modi ji.”
Singh accused Modi of spreading hatred, stealing votes, forming governments through alleged political manipulation and protecting corrupt individuals during his 25 years as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. He alleged that Modi’s policies had caused difficulties for young people, farmers, women and senior citizens.
Addressing Modi’s supporters, Singh sarcastically said they should not worry because, according to him, Modi was “non-biological” and would therefore be able to make India a developed country even by 3047.
The AAP leader said Modi had completed 25 years as Chief Minister and Prime Minister and had sought blessings from God for more time in office. He also referred to claims by Modi’s supporters that India would become a developed country by 2047.
Singh said Modi himself had spoken about having more work to accomplish and making India a “Vishwaguru” by 2047.
“If by 2047 his age will probably be 98, I wish him a long life, but how long will he continue to ruin this country?” Singh said.
He questioned why Modi needed more time after 25 years in public life and accused his government of dividing society in the name of hatred.
“Does he need more time to steal votes, steal governments, buy and sell MLAs and MPs, and induct corrupt people into his party?” Singh asked.
Singh also criticised the government over several issues, including infrastructure, education, healthcare and employment. He alleged that the government had failed to address potholes on roads, paper leaks, the closure of government schools and the condition of hospitals.
He further questioned whether Modi needed more time to “destroy” the MSME sector, cottage industries and small-scale industries and to leave large numbers of businesses struggling.
Singh also criticised the Agniveer recruitment scheme, asking whether Modi needed more time to weaken the country’s armed forces by introducing such a programme.
Taking his criticism further, Singh sarcastically described Modi as an “avatar” who could, he said, live for 1,000 years and continue promising to make India a global leader.
He said Modi could even claim that India would become a developed country and “Vishwaguru” by 3047, adding that his supporters could wait for another 1,000 years.
“By then India will become a Vishwaguru and developed country. Modi ji will still be alive because he is an avatar. He is not an ordinary human being; he is non-biological,” Singh said sarcastically.
Concluding his remarks, Singh said he would fold his hands and request Modi to “leave the country alone”.
“He has troubled and harassed everyone, from the youth to farmers and from mothers and sisters to senior citizens,” Singh said.
