Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met Sunil Lodhi, a talented young Bundeli singer from Sagar district, at Samatva Bhawan, the Chief Minister’s residence, on Thursday. Visually impaired since birth, Sunil Lodhi recently lent his voice to a Bundeli song in the film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, which has quickly gained popularity. Congratulating and applauding Sunil Lodhi for his achievement, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured him of full support from the state government. He said the state government is committed to providing maximum opportunities to talented artists to help them advance their careers. Every possible assistance will be extended to encourage artists. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav felicitated Sunil Lodhi and his parents. He also announced that ₹1 lakh would be provided to Sunil Lodhi as an honorarium. Shri Sriram Tiwari and Parents of singer Shri Lodhi were present on the occassion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also assured necessary assistance to help restore Sunil’s eyesight. He said that since Sunil has been interested in singing from childhood, he would also be supported in completing a formal music course at a music school. He added that talented singers like him would be encouraged through programmes such as Talent Search. Cultural Advisor Shri Shriram Tiwari, Shri Sachin Chaudhary of Bundeli TV channel, and Sunil Lodhi’s friends were present during the meeting.
Singer Performs Song and Bhajan
Sunil Lodhi sang for Chief Minister Dr. Yadav the popular song from the film Hanuman Ansh, “Maine Tere Hi Bharose Hanuman, Sagar Mein Naiya Daar Dai.” At the Chief Minister’s request, he also performed the devotional song “Janm Laye Raghurai, Braj Mein Baj Rahi Badhai,” traditionally sung to celebrate the birth of Lord Shri Krishna.
