Tennis, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz Garfia captured his first French Open Men’s singles title at Roland Garros in Paris last night. Alcaraz triumphed over Germany’s Alexander Zverev in a thrilling final, winning 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2. At just 21 years old, Alcaraz has now won more Grand Slam titles than any other man born in the 1990s. He also became the second youngest player in the Open era to claim a major title on all three surfaces.
Alcaraz secured his spot in the final by defeating Jannik Sinner, while Zverev earned his place by overcoming Casper Ruud.
