‘Shetkari Day’ to Be Celebrated in Honor of Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil

Mumbai : In recognition of the significant contributions made by Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil to the farming community and to honor all farmers in the state, his birth anniversary will be celebrated as ‘Shetkari Day’ on August 19, 2024, coinciding with the full moon day of that month.

The Agriculture Commissionerate will issue guidelines for the observance of Shetkari Day. On this occasion, a webinar dialogue or guidance class will be organized throughout the state to celebrate Farmers’ Day on August 19, 2024.
