Lok Sabha MP Meets Union Minister

December 2025 :On December 12, 2025, Mizoram’s Lok Sabha MP, Pu Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, met Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, at his office.

During the meeting, the Union Minister discussed the significance and objectives of the Tagore Cultural Complexes (TCCs). These complexes, established across different states, aim to promote cultural activities and preserve the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore. The Union Minister emphasized the importance of further expanding these cultural initiatives in Mizoram.

MP Richard Vanlalhmangaiha also highlighted the various cultural development initiatives undertaken by the Mizoram Culture and Tourism Department. He requested support for enhancing these projects and stressed the need for financial and technical assistance to implement them effectively. The Union Minister assured that several projects would be given priority and proper guidance.

This meeting strengthened ties between the central and state representatives and marked a positive step forward for Mizoram’s cultural promotion initiatives. MP Vanlalhmangaiha expressed optimism about the fruitful collaboration with the Union Ministry in the near future.
