Mixer Plant Operator Served Notice in Illegal Sand Stockpiling Case
Raipur, June 2026: As part of the ongoing crackdown against illegal mineral-related activities in MCB district, the Mining Department conducted a raid on a mixing plant operating near Nagpur Railway Station and detected a large quantity of illegally stored sand within the plant premises.
During the inspection, officials asked the plant operator to produce valid documents related to the storage and transportation of the sand, including the required transit passes. However, the operator failed to furnish the necessary records and documents at the site.
According to the Mining Department, storing sand without valid documentation constitutes a violation of mining regulations. In connection with the case, a show-cause notice has been issued to the plant operator.
The district administration stated that strict monitoring and enforcement action against illegal mining, transportation, and storage of minerals will continue across the district in the future as well.
