Chief Minister’s ‘Bhava’ Connects with Beloved Sisters of the State: Women from Latur District Participate
Latur : Starting yesterday (August 14), the first two installments of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, totaling three thousand rupees, began to be deposited into the accounts of beneficiary women. To date, around 80 lakh women across the state have received Rs. 3000 each in their accounts. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde interacted with these beneficiaries in a representative manner through a televised event. During this interaction, the women expressed their heartfelt gratitude and fondly referred to the Chief Minister as their brother, saying, “Now I am the Chief Minister’s sister… a new identity has been created.” Several women from Latur Collectorate also attended the program.
Under the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, three thousand rupees have been deposited into the accounts of many women in the district. Some of these women were present at the collectorate office today. The event was attended by Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, District Women and Child Development Officer Javed Sheikh, and District Assistant Commissioner of Municipal Administration Ramdas Kokre.
Usha Sagar, a farm laborer from Chincholi Ravwadi, shared her relief, stating that farm laborers like her often had to rely on others for money. However, now, with the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana providing Rs. 1.5 thousand per month, they would receive much-needed support. She expressed her gratitude to the government for launching this scheme. Halima Aziz Syed, another agricultural laborer from the same village, also thanked the government and the Chief Minister for the Rs. 3000 deposited into her account, noting that the money would help with her children’s education and family expenses.
Swati Sude, a resident of Lohara in Udgir Taluk who now lives in Latur, said, “I completed a sewing class to contribute to my family through sewing work. Now, with the money received from the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, I will buy a new sewing machine and start my own sewing business.”
Ashwini Khandade from Latur expressed her happiness, saying that the first installment of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana had been deposited into her account. She mentioned that the money would be a significant help for household expenses. Seema Nandgawali from Pakhar Sangvi also thanked the Chief Minister and the government for starting the scheme, saying she plans to buy a new sewing machine with the funds she receives each month.
Anita Bembde and Sarojini Deshpande from Latur also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating this scheme, highlighting that the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is highly beneficial for women.
