Distribution of Awards on Independence Day by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode

Latur, August 16: On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode distributed various awards during the main government flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Collectorate premises. Meritorious students were also felicitated.

The event was attended by Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Anmol Sagar, Superintendent of Police Somay Munde, In-charge Additional Collector Sangeeta Takle, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Devere, Additional Chief Executive Officer Aslam Tadvi, Deputy Collector Dr. Bharat Kadam, Nitin Waghmare, Ahilya Gattal, District Supply Officer Priyanka Ayre, Sub Divisional Officer Rohini Narhe-Virole, and District Planning Officer Somnath Reddy.

Officers recognized for their outstanding performance as Second Appellate Authorities under the Maharashtra Public Service Rights Act 2015 were honored with certificates. Among those recognized were Nilang Sub Divisional Officer Sharad Zadke, Zilla Parishad Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dattatray Giri, Chachur Tehsildar Narsingh Jadhav, Jalkot Group Development Officer N. S. Medewar, Latur Deputy Tehsildar Ganesh Sarode, Renapur Deputy Tehsildar Shravan Ugile, and Nilanga Municipal Council Chief Gajanan Shinde.

On this occasion, the sarpanch and gram sevaks of three village panchayats—Bamani of Udgir Taluka, Ganeshwadi of Shirur Anantapal Taluka, and Saravadi of Nilanga Taluka—were honored with certificates for planting the most trees. Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer D. P. Jadhav and Assistant Administrative Officer Ashok Sridhar Jalan were also felicitated with certificates.

Honoring Meritorious Students

Students who achieved significant academic success were also honored. Shreya Dattatray Bedre of Karsa Zilla Parishad School secured eighth place in the state-level merit list for Class V. Unnati Maroti Jadhav of Ahmadpur Kilbil International School, who ranked eighth in CBSE/ICSE for Class V, and Vrishti Manoj Srimangle of Keshavraj Secondary School, Latur, who ranked eighth in Class VIII, were also felicitated. Additionally, Akash Baliram Nagargoje of Potdar International School, Latur, who secured fifth place in the Class VIII CBSE/ICSE rankings, and Soham Balaji Dandanayak, who ranked 13th, were honored.

Recognition of Police Officers by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode

Latur, August 16: In conjunction with India’s 78th Independence Day celebrations, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode presented awards to outstanding officers and employees of the police force during the main flag-hoisting ceremony at the Collectorate premises. Superintendent of Police Somay Munde was recognized for being awarded the Special Service Medal for completing challenging service. Other police officers and personnel who demonstrated excellent performance were also honored.

The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Anmol Sagar, In-charge Additional Collector Sangeeta Takale, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Devere, Additional Chief Executive Officer Aslam Tadvi, and others.

Police Sub-Inspector Gajanan Venkatarao Totewad, Police Sub-Inspector Akshay Madhavrao Patil, Police Head Constable Datta Hawappa Madole, Police Head Constable Abhimanyu Ashok Gadve, Police Sub-Inspector Suresh Kashiram Pogulwar, and others were honored for their exemplary service.

Distribution of District Sports Awards by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode

Latur, August 16: During the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode hoisted the national flag at the Collector’s office premises. On this occasion, he distributed district sports awards for the period 2019-20 to 2022-23 to the best-performing athletes and sports guides of the district.

The event was attended by several key officials, including Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Anmol Sagar, In-charge Additional Collector Sangeeta Takale, Additional Chief Executive Officer Aslam Tadvi, and others.

The District Sports Award for the year 2019-20 was awarded to Jyoti Venkat Pawar (Baseball) and Mahefuzkhan Hafizullah Khan Pathan (Fencing) and meritorious mentor Mahesh Prakash Jhunje-Patil (Malkhamb). The award for the year 2020-21 was distributed to Sonali Laghu Gaekwad (Fencing), Swapnil Shivaji Mule (Mallakhamba) and Gunwant Gudiyash Santosh Srikrishna Kadam (Fencing).

Mahi Kishore Aardwad (Fencing) and Bhaurao Baburao Kadam (Fencing) were honored with the District Sports Award for the year 2021-22. Also in the year 2022-23, Suraj Kalidas Kadam (Fencing), Divyanka Santosh Kadam (Fencing) and Prashant Shivraj Mane (Fencing) meritorious mentor were honored.
