Rajasthan Youth Policy 2026 Launched to Empower Future Leaders

Jaipur, January 2026 :Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is continuously taking decisions to ensure the holistic development of youth. The Chief Minister believes that young people are the architects of the state’s future. They not only form a major share of the population but are also Rajasthan’s greatest strength. In view of the rapidly changing global environment, evolving technologies, and emerging social and economic challenges, it has become essential to provide youth with the right direction. Keeping these factors in mind, the state government has introduced the Rajasthan Youth Policy 2026, incorporating new provisions into the earlier youth policy.

The primary objective of the new policy is to develop youth as leaders and responsible citizens. Through this policy, young people will be provided opportunities to progress and become active participants in economic growth and social transformation. Along with employment generation through skill development, the policy focuses on the overall development of youth.

The Rajasthan Youth Policy 2026 has been broadly divided into the following key components:

1. Education and Skills:
   The policy includes comprehensive provisions to enhance access to quality education, career counseling, and proper guidance. Skill-based education will be promoted through an inclusive education model. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence will be integrated into training curricula to prepare youth for future demands.
2. Employment and Entrepreneurship:
   This component emphasizes job creation, skill enhancement, and promotion of entrepreneurship. The Chief Minister envisions youth not only as job seekers but also as job creators, while also opening pathways for youth engaged in gig and unorganized sectors.
3. Health and Well-being:
   Recognizing that a healthy body and mind are essential for national progress, the policy focuses on the physical and mental health of youth. It encourages a healthy lifestyle, substance-free living, and participation in sports, yoga, and meditation.
4. Youth Leadership Development:
   To make youth active stakeholders in Rajasthan’s development journey, the policy emphasizes leadership building, decision-making abilities, and participation in democratic governance.
5. Social Justice and Gender Equality:
   Guided by the principle of Antyodaya, the policy ensures equal opportunities for every young individual, fostering an inclusive environment free from social and gender discrimination.
6. Art and Culture:
   In line with the vision of preserving heritage alongside development, the policy encourages youth to connect with Rajasthan’s cultural heritage, literature, and traditions. Young artists and emerging talents will be supported, and cultural festivals and regional languages will be promoted.
7. Environmental Protection:
   The policy includes provisions to ensure a clean and pollution-free environment for future generations, encouraging youth participation in climate protection, preservation of traditional practices, and promotion of green technologies.
8. Institutional Mechanism:
   A strong three-tier institutional framework will be established, including a high-level committee led by the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, along with a state-level task force and core committee. This mechanism will ensure effective implementation of all provisions of the policy.

With the launch of the Rajasthan Youth Policy 2026, the state government aims to create skilled, responsible, and sensitive citizens who will actively contribute to nation-building, employment generation, and sustainable development under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
