Students Paint Jaipur’s “Panch Gaurav” in Grand District-Level Art Contest
Jaipur, January 2026 : In line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Jaipur district administration is continuously taking effective initiatives for the conservation, promotion, and holistic development of sites, products, and special features associated with Panch Gaurav. As part of this effort, a district-level painting competition based on the Panch Gaurav theme was organized across Jaipur district.
Held under the directions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 1,87,222 school students belonging to 5,933 schools across the district. Through colors, lines, and imaginative expression, students vividly brought Jaipur district’s unique identity to life on canvas.
Additional District Collector (Jaipur First) Ms. Vinita Singh informed that 94,784 students from 2,999 government schools and 92,438 students from 2,934 private schools took part in the competition. Through their paintings based on the Panch Gaurav theme, students not only showcased their artistic talent but also strongly highlighted the cultural, social, and economic identity of the district.
Chief Planning Officer Dr. Sudip Kumawat said that students creatively depicted Jaipur’s Panch Gaurav through their artwork. These included Kabaddi under the “One District–One Sport” initiative, Amla as the “One District–One Produce,” Lisoda as the “One District–One Plant Species,” Jewellery as the “One District–One Product,” and Amer Fort as the “One District–One Tourist Destination.” The paintings were presented in a highly creative, attractive, and emotionally expressive manner.
He added that this painting competition organized by the district administration has not only helped increase awareness among students about Jaipur’s Panch Gaurav, but has also played an important role in nurturing sensitivity among the younger generation toward the preservation and promotion of the district’s heritage, traditions, and unique characteristics.
