Raipur, January 2026 : At Bharat Parv 2026, being held on the lawns in front of the Red Fort and along Gyan Path, Chhattisgarh’s cultural presentations have emerged as a major attraction for visitors. This six-day national cultural and tourism festival, organised as part of the Republic Day celebrations, is drawing large crowds eager to experience Chhattisgarh’s vibrant folk culture, traditional cuisine and tourism pavilion.

Traditional folk dances from Chhattisgarh, including the energetic Panthi dance, are particularly captivating audiences. Dressed in colourful attire, performers showcase powerful tribal rhythms and spirited movements, prompting visitors to pause, enjoy the performances and applaud enthusiastically to encourage the artists.

Chhattisgarh’s food stalls are also witnessing heavy footfall throughout the day. Visitors are showing keen interest in tasting traditional delicacies such as chila, thethri, khurmi and fara. For many, this is their first experience of Chhattisgarhi cuisine, and they are appreciating its simplicity, rich flavour and nutritional value.

The Chhattisgarh Tourism Pavilion has likewise received an excellent response from visitors. Through the pavilion, detailed information is being shared about the state’s natural beauty, rich tribal culture, festivals and unique tourist destinations. The objective is to connect tourists from across India and abroad with Chhattisgarh’s diverse tourism offerings.

Tourists are showing particular interest in natural and heritage destinations such as Chitrakote Waterfall, Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary and Sirpur. Many visitors are actively seeking information about travel routes, eco-tourism opportunities and homestay facilities available in the state.

In addition, the Chhattisgarh tableau that featured in the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path is also on display at Bharat Parv and has become a special point of attraction. Based on the concept of the country’s first digital tribal museum, the tableau is being widely appreciated for its artistic presentation and meaningful message. Large numbers of visitors are taking photographs with the tableau and praising the powerful depiction of Chhattisgarh’s history, tribal heritage and way of life.

Bharat Parv 2026, which will conclude on January 31, has emerged as a grand platform showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity, where folk arts, traditional attire, handicrafts, music and regional cuisines from different states can be seen and experienced together.
