Chief Secretary Reviews Preparations for BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Jaipur

Jaipur, July 2026: Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas on Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat to assess preparations for the upcoming BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on August 12 and 13.

The Chief Secretary directed all concerned departments to complete preparations within the stipulated timeline through close inter-departmental coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the prestigious international event.

Comprehensive Planning for All Arrangements

Emphasising meticulous planning, Srinivas instructed officials to prepare and effectively implement detailed action plans covering all aspects of the event, including security, administrative arrangements, traffic management, transportation of delegates, cultural programmes, media coordination, protocol, accommodation, and other logistical requirements.

He said every department must discharge its responsibilities with utmost seriousness while maintaining seamless coordination to ensure that the event is conducted without any inconvenience to participants.

Showcasing Rajasthan’s Culture and Hospitality

The Chief Secretary stressed that visiting delegates should experience Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and renowned hospitality during their stay. He directed officials to ensure that all reception, hospitality, and protocol arrangements for foreign dignitaries are of the highest standards.

During the meeting, senior officials from various departments presented detailed updates on the preparations underway. Srinivas reviewed the progress and issued necessary directions wherever required, while underscoring the importance of effective coordination among all departments.

Timely Completion of Preparations

The Chief Secretary instructed departments to conduct regular reviews of their assigned responsibilities and ensure that every task is completed within the prescribed timeframe. He also directed officials to closely monitor every aspect of the event and address any challenges promptly to ensure smooth execution.

Preparations Progressing as Scheduled

Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Naveen Jain informed the meeting that all preparations for the BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting are being completed in coordination with the concerned departments as per schedule.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bhaskar Sawant, Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Galaria, Secretary of the Local Self Government Department Ravi Jain, Inspector General of Police (Home) Deepak Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) Prafull Kumar, Commissioner of the Information and Public Relations Department Rakesh Sharma, along with senior officials from all concerned departments.
