Chief Minister Sai Visits Children with Disabilities

Announcement to Provide a Bus to Pariyana Residential School for Children with Disabilities, Narayanpur

Raipur, January 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today made a surprise visit to the Pariyana Residential School for Children with Disabilities located at Garanji in Narayanpur district and spent time with the students. On his arrival at the school, differently-abled student Ranjit Badde and other children with special needs warmly welcomed the Chief Minister. On this occasion, the children presented a welcome song, the Hanuman Chalisa, and beautiful performances of traditional songs from the Bastar region, which mesmerized all those present. Responding to the children’s request, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that a bus would be provided to the school.

Chief Minister Shri Sai Among Children with Disabilities

While interacting with the children, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that they should move forward with hard work and self-confidence. He noted that the facilities available at the school are good and urged the students to make full use of them to build a bright future. He encouraged the children to aspire for high positions such as IAS and IPS officers and said that no one should feel disheartened due to any physical limitation, as persons with special needs are specially blessed by God. When the children asked him how he felt after visiting the school, the Chief Minister said that he felt extremely happy to be among them. In response to a question from a girl student, he shared that he loved playing games like pitthu and football during his childhood.

The Chief Minister distributed chocolates to all the children of the institution and blessed them. The cultural performances by the children with disabilities were appreciated by Chief Minister Shri Sai, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, other public representatives, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner Shri Doman Singh, and IG Shri Sundarraj P.

It is noteworthy that the Pariyana Residential School for Children with Disabilities was inaugurated on September 11, 2023. The school is being run through the District Mineral Trust Fund. The main objective of the school is to provide inclusive education to children with disabilities and connect them to the mainstream of society, thereby strengthening their self-confidence and enabling them to play an effective role in society. The school acts as a bridge between children with disabilities and non-disabled children. At present, a total of 60 students are enrolled in the school. Facilities such as audiology, physiotherapy, special education, music education, sports, yoga and exercise, and computer education are available at the institution.
