Kathak dance on Ramayana, folk songs, duets and Sufi melodies to be the highlights of the cultural showcase
Lucknow : The second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, to be held at the India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29 under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will also showcase Uttar Pradesh’s vibrant ‘craft, cuisine, and culture’ to the global audience.
At this year’s UP International Trade Show, attendees will be treated to a vibrant celebration of UP’s rich culture, offering an immersive cultural experience, featuring interactive exhibits that showcase traditional crafts, culinary delights, and performances from various regions of UP.
Visitors will be able to explore the beauty of the diverse cultures through a tableau and live music and dance performances, offering a unique and enriching experience.
On the inaugural day of the UP International Trade Show, guests will be warmly welcomed by a vibrant cultural tableau showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s rich heritage.
This captivating tableau will feature the work of 12 skilled folk artists offering mesmerizing glimpses of various cultural zones, including Braj, Purvanchal, Awadh, Rohilkhand, Bundelkhand, etc. This immersive display aims to celebrate and promote Uttar Pradesh’s unique cultural identity, setting the stage for an enriching and memorable event.
Later that day, on September 25, 2024, the UP International Trade Show will host a captivating event titled ‘Swar Sangam,’ promising an enchanting evening of Sufi music and duet (Jugal Bandi). Attendees will be treated to the soul-stirring melodies of Sufi artists, whose performances evoke deep emotional resonance and spiritual connection.
The Jugal Bandi, a traditional musical duet, will further enrich the experience with its intricate interplay and harmonious improvisations.
Following this, from September 26 to 29, the event will feature ‘Uttar Pradesh Ke Rang, Lok Ke Sang,’ a vibrant cultural showcase celebrating the state’s rich artistic heritage.
This segment will offer diverse performances, including folk songs reflecting the region’s traditional sounds and Kathak dance performances narrating Ramayana tales.
The program will also include melodies dedicated to Lord Ram, enhancing the cultural immersion for attendees.
These multifaceted events aim to highlight Uttar Pradesh’s artistic richness and cultural diversity, providing a comprehensive experience that blends historical traditions with contemporary expressions.
