WPL 2026 Final: Jemimah Rodrigues’ 57, Laura Wolvaardt Lift Delhi Capitals To Record 203/4 vs RCB

Vadodara, Feb 2026 : Delhi Capitals produced a commanding batting performance to post a record 203/4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the WPL 2026 final at the Kotambi Stadium, with captain Jemimah Rodrigues leading from the front with a sparkling half-century.

After winning the toss, RCB opted to field, hoping to put pressure on DC in the summit clash. The Delhi openers began cautiously, with Shafali Verma finding it hard to get going early. She struggled to 3 off 13 balls before regrouping to finish with a valuable 37 off 30 deliveries, helping DC reach 49 in the powerplay. However, both openers were dismissed in quick succession, briefly giving RCB an opening.

That window was firmly shut by skipper Jemimah Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt, who stitched together a crucial 76-run partnership. Rodrigues played with authority and composure, striking boundaries at will to bring up a final-worthy 57 off 37 balls, setting the tone for a big total. Wolvaardt complemented her perfectly with a fluent 44, ensuring the run rate never dipped during the middle overs.

After Rodrigues’ dismissal, the scoring slowed momentarily, but Chinelle Henry provided the late surge Delhi needed. Her blistering 35 not out off just 15 balls in the death overs powered DC past the 200-run mark, the highest total ever in a Women’s Premier League final.

With both teams fielding unchanged XIs and meeting in the final for the second consecutive season, Delhi Capitals now hold a strong advantage as they chase their maiden WPL title after finishing runners-up in the previous three editions.
