Jogaram Patel Lays Foundation Stone of Government Ayurveda Dispensary in Jodhpur

Jaipur, February 2026 : Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel on Sunday formally laid the foundation stone of a Government Ayurveda Dispensary to be constructed at a cost of ₹30 lakh in Gram Panchayat Indroka, Jodhpur. The ceremony was held with traditional rites.

₹32,526 Crore Budget for Health

Addressing the gathering, Patel said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is firmly committed to providing improved healthcare facilities to the general public. He noted that the 2026–27 state budget earmarks ₹32,526 crore for the Medical and Health Department—an increase of 53 percent compared to the 2023–24 budget.

Basic Life Support Training Centre in Jodhpur

The minister announced that a Basic Life Support Training Centre will be established in Jodhpur. In addition, modular operation theatres will be set up at Mathuradas Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur. He further stated that ultra-modern rest houses will be constructed at the main hospitals of medical colleges in Jodhpur and five other districts, with an investment of ₹500 crore.

Quality Natural Treatment Through the Dispensary

Highlighting the importance of Ayurveda, Patel said this ancient system of medicine not only treats diseases but also guides people toward a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized that the new dispensary will provide local residents with easy access to quality natural healthcare close to their homes.

Instructions for Quality and Timely Completion

Patel directed officials of the executing agency, the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board, to ensure that construction work is completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high quality standards. He assured that no stone would be left unturned in achieving comprehensive and inclusive development of the region.
