Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Orders Asavari Jagdale’s Induction Into Govt Service

Mumbai, Feb 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed the Pune Municipal Commissioner to induct Asavari Jagdale, daughter of Santosh Jagdale of Pune who was killed in the terrorist attack at Pahalgam, into government service.

Following the Pahalgam attack, Deputy CM Shinde had visited the Jagdale family in Pune to offer support to the families of citizens who lost their lives in the incident. During the visit, he consoled Santosh Jagdale’s wife Pragati Jagdale and daughter Asavari Jagdale, and assured them of financial support by facilitating Asavari’s induction into government service.

In line with this assurance, Deputy CM Shinde held a telephonic discussion with Pune Municipal Commissioner Navalkishor Ram. He instructed that Asavari be called in for interaction and that a post commensurate with her educational qualifications be created within the Pune Municipal Corporation to absorb her into service. He further clarified that the government is taking this decision on compassionate grounds and that her appointment will be approved as a special case.

Accordingly, the process to induct Asavari Jagdale into government service will be completed shortly.
