Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur Meets Chhattisgarh Minister Lakshmi Rajwade

Raipur, February 2026 : Chhattisgarh Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Rajwade paid a courtesy visit to Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur during her visit to Chhattisgarh. The meeting took place at the Pahuna Guest House in Raipur.

During the meeting, the two leaders held a positive and detailed discussion on various public welfare issues related to women and child development. They exchanged views on strengthening the empowerment of women and children, improving nutritional standards, reinforcing safety mechanisms, and ensuring the effective implementation of welfare schemes across the state.

Both ministers agreed that closer coordination between the Centre and the State would help make ongoing schemes more result-oriented and impactful. Emphasis was laid on collaborative efforts to ensure that benefits reach the intended sections of society efficiently and in a timely manner.

Minister Lakshmi Rajwade shared updates on the progress of women and child development schemes being implemented in the state. She stated that the Chhattisgarh government is firmly committed to the holistic development of women and children and is ensuring continuous monitoring of schemes at the grassroots level to maximise their effectiveness.
