Discussion Held in Mamit on Conducting Indian Army Sepoy Recruitment Rally

Mamit, February 2026: A meeting was held today at the DC Conference Hall, Mamit, under the chairpersonship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Carolyn L. B. Khiangte to discuss arrangements for conducting a Sepoy recruitment rally of the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme. Officials from the Army Recruiting Office attended the meeting and provided detailed information on the recruitment process and eligibility criteria.

During the meeting, discussions focused on ensuring wide publicity so that eligible youth from Mamit district, aged between 17½ years and 22 years and meeting the prescribed educational qualifications, are encouraged and able to apply for the Indian Army (Agniveer) recruitment.

It was informed that applications for the upcoming Indian Army recruitment rally can be submitted online from February 13 to April 1, 2026, through the official website www.joinindiaarmy.nic.in. Candidates seeking further clarification or detailed guidance regarding the recruitment process may contact the Planning Branch, DC Office, Mamit, during office hours.
