Lucknow: February 2026 :Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked members of the Indian community in Singapore for their enthusiastic welcome and extended Holi greetings to them. The Chief Minister said that the emotional attachment of the Indian community in Singapore towards their motherland gives all of us renewed inspiration to contribute meaningfully to India’s development. The debt of one’s mother and motherland always remains upon a person. It is part of Indian values that wherever we live, we discharge our responsibilities towards that land with gratitude while continuing to move forward with our endeavours.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Indian diaspora at a programme organised at the Global Indian International School in Singapore. On this occasion, he also observed the cultural performances presented by school children.
Inviting people to invest in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is the state that represents the soul of India. Uttar Pradesh has successfully established itself as a new hub of modern infrastructure and modern technology. Investment is coming into every sector of Uttar Pradesh. More than 34 sectoral policies are currently operational. Uttar Pradesh possesses a land bank of 75,000 acres. Large cluster lands have been prepared at various locations for investors. There is uninterrupted electricity supply and a better security environment. “Now there is neither curfew nor riots in UP; everything is fine in UP.” Everyone is now participating peacefully in the development of Uttar Pradesh without fear. Women are even working in night shifts.
The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh today accounts for 55 percent of India’s expressways. The largest railway network in India is in Uttar Pradesh. The highest number of cities with metro public transport services is in Uttar Pradesh. Just yesterday, the Prime Minister inaugurated India’s first Rapid Rail and the Meerut Metro. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of airports in the country. Next month, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Noida International Airport. This airport, the largest in India, will emerge as the biggest hub not only for passengers but also for cargo. Uttar Pradesh produces 55 percent of India’s mobile phones and 60 percent of electronic components.
Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh’s economy has been made three times larger over the past nine years. When gratitude towards the motherland exists, success does not take long to arrive. Uttar Pradesh is no longer a backward state but has emerged as the growth engine of India’s economy. The per capita income of the state has increased nearly three times. Government schemes are reaching every needy person without discrimination.
Film City, Medical Device Park, Pharma Park, Apparel Park, and semiconductor units are being developed in the state. The Defence Manufacturing Corridor has also been established in Uttar Pradesh with six nodes under development. The BrahMos missile used with precise targeting in ‘Operation Sindoor’ was from Lucknow, which sent shockwaves through even the strongest adversaries.
The Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state. Nine years ago, disorder, riots, insecurity, and anarchy had become its identity. Today, Uttar Pradesh presents a remarkable confluence of heritage and development. The grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya instils a sense of dignity in every Indian. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham symbolises restoration of heritage and India’s eternal consciousness. Mathura–Vrindavan, the land of Lord Krishna’s leelas, is a symbol of India’s devotion.
Referring to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, the Chief Minister said its success is before everyone. Last year, 1.56 billion tourists visited Uttar Pradesh, and the number continues to rise. Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura–Vrindavan, Prayagraj, the Buddhist Circuit, Jain Circuit, and Sufi heritage sites are strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s new identity.
He said India is progressing in every direction without discrimination. Festivals symbolise harmony. At Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025, 660 million devotees bathed together, demonstrating the spirit of “One India, Great India.” Today, India proudly says it is united and great.
The Chief Minister said “New India” is showcasing its strength globally under the Prime Minister’s leadership and will soon become the world’s third-largest economy. Digital India, startups, and innovation ecosystems are prime examples. At the recent ‘India AI Impact Summit’ in Delhi, leaders from developed nations praised India’s initiatives.
He concluded by praising the Global Indian International School for preserving Indian traditions and announced its upcoming investment in Lucknow, along with skilling initiatives.
