Jharkhand Government and Punjab National Bank Sign MoU for State Employees’ Salary Account Package; CM Hemant Soren Launches “Jharkhand Kuber” Dashboard
Ranchi — The Government of Jharkhand and Punjab National Bank today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a comprehensive salary account package for state government employees. The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Hemant Soren, who described the partnership as the beginning of a new chapter between the state government and the bank.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the “Jharkhand Kuber” Dashboard, developed by the Finance Department of the Government of Jharkhand, aimed at strengthening financial transparency and monitoring.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Soren emphasized the critical role banks play across sectors, including business, agriculture, and rural development. He noted that banks are central not only to public financial transactions but also to the economic dealings of government employees. In today’s environment, he said, the banking sector’s contribution spans every field, supporting growth, livelihoods, and development initiatives.
The Chief Minister added that along with their core functions, institutions also shoulder important social responsibilities. In this context, the MoU between the Jharkhand Government and Punjab National Bank reflects a shared commitment to service delivery and public welfare. He expressed confidence that the bank would fulfill the objectives and responsibilities underpinning this partnership efficiently and effectively.
Highlighting continuity, the Chief Minister recalled that the state government has previously signed MoUs with other banks, and work is progressing in line with those agreements. He said improved coordination between the state government and Punjab National Bank would benefit not only government employees but also the general public at large.
Chief Minister Soren congratulated and extended his best wishes to the officials and staff of Punjab National Bank present at the ceremony.
The event was attended by Ministers Radhakrishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, and Shilpi Neha Tirkey; Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar; Punjab National Bank Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chaturvedi; Zonal Head Avdhesh Jha; Deputy Zonal Head Rakesh Kumar Srivastava; along with senior officials from the state government and Punjab National Bank.
