RBI Organises Capacity Building Workshop in Jaipur to Strengthen Financial Literacy Centres

Jaipur, February 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) organised a capacity building workshop in Jaipur on Friday under the Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) Project. The programme was chaired by the Regional Director of RBI Jaipur, Ranjiv Shankar.

The workshop was attended by officials of RBI Jaipur, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, senior officials of sponsor banks, and Centre Managers and officers from 119 Financial Literacy Centres across the state. The objective of the programme was to strengthen the functional capacity of Financial Literacy Centres and promote inclusive and safe banking practices in the state.

Regional Director Ranjiv Shankar emphasised financial security, financial resilience, and financial discipline under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2025–30. He stated that the objective of financial literacy is not merely to spread awareness, but to translate it into positive financial behaviour.

During the workshop, detailed discussions were held on important topics such as Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs), the evaluation framework, progress of the FLC project so far, cyber security, effective communication, grievance redressal systems, re-KYC of inactive accounts, and unclaimed deposits.
